How can Network for Good help me a be a more strategic grantmaker?
Every foundation or donor wants to see its grantees succeed in raising the resources required to create impact and sustain the work they fund. Our inclination is to find a way to help. Sometimes, though, our grantees make it difficult to provide the right kind of assistance.
Now, the Network for Good Impact Team is pleased to announce a new nationwide initiative to help inform how we can not only help our grantees with grant funding, but also help them true up the answer to our application question, "How will you sustain this program after the funding period ends?"
Our experience as once-grantwriters and now, grantmakers, suggests that while our grantees have the best intentions, their answer to this question is largely an exercise in creative writing.
To participate, your foundation need only send an email, with a survey linked inside the email, to organizations for which you'd like to understand their needs, opportunities, and perception of the kinds of resources you provide. Our team does the rest: we aggregate the data; create a written analysis and; come onsite to present it to your stakeholders.
What do I get from a completed Assessment - what's in the report?
After we aggregate and analyze all of the data, we'll deliver a report your can reference and share, internally. We'll also come onsite to present the findings to you and your stakeholders.
1) Calculation of how much money is currently being raised
2) Snapshot of how well grantees are fundraising, diversifying revenue
